Philaa. March 17. 1791
Dear Sir
I saild the 20 feby & arrived in New York 3 March & in this City the 11th of the present - every body is well - but the public seem a little agitated, at the disaster of their troops who fought under Genl Harmon at the Miamis last fall - New troops are raising - say 2260 souls Doughty has a regt to be raised in N England Genl St. Clair is said to be the Commander in Chief. - I have neither time nor liberty to say more - If you have not send up my trunk & Mattress & pillows to Jackson, pray do it soon I have written to him to send it to me by the first vessel - My love and sincere regards to the Doctor and Cap Pine - Savage is not yet arrived & God knows where he is - Dr Nicoll is appointed a Lt of Artilly. - I am Yrs. with sentiments of esteem
