notable item/thing

it may not have the same fate at the next session
my intention to come forward in some public line so soon as my son goes into business
impolitick in me to hold and office
[politics]
disqualify me from a seat in the House of Assembly
stepping stone to every appointment in the nomination of the legislature or election of the people
prid would be flattered by so honorable an appointment
future advancement in the line of public life
expect to embrace you
interfere with the local politicks
assembly had under consideration
person who held office
account you give
resignation surprises me much
cannot conjecture his reasons for resigning an office the duties of which he has yet scarcely experienced
business csnquentially attendant upon the appointment
imoluments are but small
time necessarily consumed in attending the district & circuit courts is the only important consideration with a man of business
may have influenced him
thought that my accepatnace of the office would in any degree contribute to render the federal courts more respectable in the state of New Jersey
