Your favr of 11th Inst. has been recd. & agreeable to your Directions, I have Loaded Capt. James Sweets Packett with ^T 27. ^G. 11. ^q 3. ^ [stricken u?] 0 of Military Stores, to be delivered at West Point for Two Dollars per Ton, but I have Contracted with him to Transport the Remainder of the Stores for One & Three Quarters of a Dollar.
I find it will be Necessary that I should be furnished with One hundred Dollars to be accounted for, for the purpose of Defraying the Expences of Collecting & Delivering the Stores at the Landg - this is the more Necessary as the Persons I Employ are in want of their Pay -
I have the Honor to be with Esteem Sr. your Obed. Humle Serv
