New York 17th June 1790
Dear Sir
Agreeably to your request of the 9th Inst. I order two Certificates No 95061 & 95062 the first issued in favor of John Barclay & the other, favor of Andw Johnston, for twenty six 60/90 dollars each being the for one months pay their orders for one Months pay in favor of the Society of Cincinnati of Pennsylvania.
I find you have endorsed their order, but as I have to file them with the [undecipherable - torn] I am under the necessity of requesting you to sign the enclosed Receipt which will enable me more easily to settle my Account of Certificates--[undecipherable] this reaches you I make no doubt you will have heard of the decision of the House of Representatives in removing to Baltimore. I flatter myself the Senate will not concur in sentiment
