I request you to be so good as to examine the accounts of the State of Connecticut, in order to find whether there are any charges by that State against Capn John Stevens a hostage during the War at the Cedars,
It appears that the said State have declined complying with the request of Congress to make good his depreciation, but the reasons for which are not produced---
