Sir
I have but this moment received your Letter of 5th Instant by Mr Thoss -
Every thing agreeable to your directions that we have have shall be in readiness as soon as possible - Their is not a sufficiency of Musket Cartridge Paper for to make the number of rounds which you have ordered to be [] Loose, as we have but 14 quire on hand - and all the Musket Ball is mixed and the most of them is One oz Balls - and I have no mould to cast them in to the size wanted as it should be done - neither is their any shave flannel cartridges for five or three pounders - Every thing else shall be ready - and I will have one hundred rounds more of Musket Cartridges for each man - and one hundred rounds for each piece of Ordnance ready in case you should think proper to have them [] with the rest
