New York Febr. 25. 1790
you will be so good as to examine the subject of the inclosed letter. If there is an acct. open, so that his claim may be allowed, I will write to signify to mr Prout that he must send his voucher. If the claim is bar'd by the ordinance of Congress limiting the time for exhibiting such auth I will give him notice that he may take other measures. You will please to inform me how the case stands and let the bearer bring the inclosed letter backs ~ I am, Sir,
