Description

No man shall be permitted to keep school in any of the United States who among other qualifications is not prepared for instructing his male pupils with great exactness in the rudiments of Military Art; every such school master shall be bound under severe penalties to devote every day for that purpose one half hour of the time allowed his boys for play; parents or master shall be compelled to provide for their attending some training master appointed by authority; proper to put in your plan; early attention to our boys; produce a nation of soldiers; a military academy also deserves attention; several years I have been fixed in the opinion that no plan respecting the Militia will be efficient which does not include the training of boys between the 9th and 18th years of their age;
