No. 3
Greenbrier
15th June 1789.
Gen. Clendinen to the Govr. of Virginia.
by this place I will be our frontier line in a short time.
"I am also unhappy to find that the executive have received no official information respecting the disposition of the indians westward of the Ohio, but let their disposition be what it may, they or some indians to us unknown since my last, by Mr Renick, have killed and taken ten persons from the settlement on Clinch and also several persons at the mouth of great Sandy, and I have reason to expect their blows hourly on Kenawa".
