New York 26th April 1789
Dear Sir
Some time ago I received a letter from
your brother expressive of your wishes us [undecipherable]
an appointment, and also a letter to the
President.
I have not yet delivered
the letter owing to the huny of [undecipherable]
since the presidents arrival [undecipherable] I
will deliver it at a proper occasion and
I hope it will have its due efect
as to my sincere desire to promote
your interest. I beg you to have the
fullest confidence. I am Dear Sir
