Marietta Eve of the 8th of January 1788
last Eve my Dear General I received yours of the 8th Ult:
and thank you very much for your Informations ---
The Governour knowing your Annuities on Indian Affairs
will probably drop you a Line by this Conveyances -- or if
not will certainly soon detail to you the whole Treaty which
will inevitably [close?] in a few Days -- & its [undecipherable] be favourable
Our Rivers have been blocked by Ice for a few Days but
are now open & Col. Morgan [indecipherable] passing for Louisiana
a mischievous Project this [indecipherable] and will not pretend
to judge --
[indecipherable] Alas! [indecipherable]lutions is near 'tis a
very probable Conjecture [indecipherable]dies in a few weeks --
[indecipherable] & Persons [accompanied? indecipherable]by your remembrances
send you their best [indecipherable] --
