Title

Various Payments Due, Damage to Magazine by Wind

Description

John Brown of Newburgh contracted with Price to make two hundred powder casks and delivered them in September. Per that contract, he was supposed to be paid by December 1st. Price includes an account for payment to Brown. Mr. Garrison who delivered wood to West Point last winter and Mrs. Randal who is taking care of Captain Molly both request payment for their services. A violent windstorm in early November damaged the magazine on the Island, and the enclosed account describes the cost of repairing it. Price asks that the General send an order for delivery of articles listed in an enclosed account. The picket at Constitution Island which was damaged by wind has been repaired and should last the winter. Price encloses returns of ordnance and quartermasters stores for November.
