West Point June 26th 1788 -
Sir,
I received your Letters of 19th Instant, an 24th, And Now forward By Mr. Huac Garrison the stores you directed for the New Jersey Recruits, And for the Celebration of 4th of July Next, Agreeable to the Enclosed Invoice- I have Sent Buff waist Belts, for the Bayonets, as they can be easily altered - And I Supposed they would answer the Purpose better than Black Ones- I made an agreement with the Cooper to pay him for the two hundred Powder Casks, On the 1st of Decmeber next- I am sir &c
