Description

Howell informs widow of Colonel Durkee that Captain Durkee received the certificates for pay retained from the Colonel. There are charges which bring the Colonel greatly indebted to the United States to the sum of $5200. Asks Mrs. Durkee if she might be able to shed any light on the matter and if so to inform Howell.
