Dear Sir
It being found that several Officers of Colo.l Moylands late Corps, now inhabitants of Virginia settled their depreciation, both with that State and Pensylvania and also received their pay and Subsistance from Virginia to the 1st of Jannuary 1782 and as these Officers were also included in my settlement from August 1. 1780 for their pay and from June 1. 1778 for their subsistance the errors in their account were such that it became necessary for me in order to secure the United States and the States of Pensylvania and Virgina to request you to retain their certificates in your hands that their accounts may be received __
As I cannot do this wihtout the certificates now in your hands and the account of the [the added as correction over the following word] advances made by Pensylvania and Virginia I must request that you will be pleased to deliver those certificates to some trusty person coming to New York to whom I will receipt for them. and that you will forward to me an account of your payments to these Officers which will oblige Dear Sir Sc
