Sir,
M.r John Durham Alvey late Postmaster to the main Army received from me in September 1783 thirty five Dollars on account and in the year 1781 he received at York Tonw in goods to the amound of sixtty six dollars + 60/90 neither of which I have not any evidence that theay have been accounted for
