Title
Regarding whether Shrupp's power of attorney was legal; fraudulent certificates
Description
Lieut. Weidman has applied for his commutation but an examination of the records indicates that his Certificates were issued to Henry Shrupp who claims to have had power of attorney. The recipient is asked to call on John Miller, a Justice of the Peace, who is supposed to have granted the power of attorney. It needs to be determined whether Shrupp's power of attorney was legal and if the Certificates were obtained fraudulently, Weidman prosecute Shrupp.
