The Canadians at this place are much in [undecipherable] cut of provisions. I have furnished them two days allowance after serving the troops up to 20th [undecipherable] out of the provisions that I reviewed in New York. ---
Joseph Dufour the frenchman that [undecipherable] hoy wants discharged, does not want it upon the principle of going with the Canadian refugees as he will not go with them ~ but he wants it by getting a man in his place -
