Sir
I did myself the honor on the 26th of October last, to request
the direction of Congress in what manner how I should
conduct myself in respect to the claims for pay
and Commutation of Mr Jno. Sullivan, who
was an officer of the Calvary and supposed to
have been concerned in to a revolt of the
Pennsylvania Troops. I humbly presume
that this application was not improper, and
that by it I have not violates the rights of
Mr Sullivan â he has however undertaken
to arraign the propriety of this proceeding
and to call me in an very imperious
manner for his settlement â Would Mr Sulliv
I therefore taken the liberty my again to request the [attention]
to your Excellency and Congress to [his claims] and
to enclose copies of the correspondance which
[has passed on the subject of them]
