D. Sir,
I thank you for the information & evidence concerning Hughes the copy of Cap Lt. James Smith's depreciation account I made out lately and deliver'd to himself, to be forwarded for the purpose you mention
I shall adhere to your request concerning the nondelivery of Certificates to Officers of Moylan's reg. from Virginia and who have not heretofore receiv'd 'em, and since they came to my hands none have unless by special information from your Office
I am obliged by your information respecting John Gray, and am &c

P. S. Lieut. John Lewis of the 4th reg. deranged 1778, is said "to have accounts to settle with the U. States" if you can inform me of the sums & dates I shall be glad.
