Dr Sir
Inclosed is a stating of your account as it stands
at present â I find the goods at York Town -
an months pay in 1781 and some other charges are
expected to be accounted for on your settlement with
the commissioner for the department â Colo. Walker
who was an aid to the Commander in Chief is
now appointed to settle those accounts, he will
therefore attend to you at any time you may
when you think proper and give any assistance I can be give
you I will to with cheerfulness â I conclude that
you have neither money or stores to account for and that
therefore your account made out & and sworn, and an
order for compensation, to receive your ballance will
be sufficient without your personal attendance
application to the Commissioner.
