Sir,

Your favor of the 24th. Ulto. did not reach me until a few days since — I am ready to issue the Certificate retained from you for stoppages as soon as an order is sent for that purpose — if an opportunity should not offer by some of you friends coming this way, you may draw the order in my favor directed to John Pierce Esqr. PMGenl. (& under cover to him) I will forward the Certificate by such conveyance as may offer, or as you may please to direct.
