Agreeable to your letter of 15 5 Novr I made a Contract with Mr James Manors to clean all the new arms that [undecipherable] of repair at 18/96 of a Dollar each -
This Certify that the said James Manor has cleaned five hundred stands of them for the United States at eighteen ninety six of a Dollar each, And is entitled to receive thirty five pounds ten shillings for the same, at the War Office in New York ten days after this Certificate is Presented - James S.
