Sir
I have applyed to the Treasury Board in respect to the
request contained in your Letter of the 20th Ulto. and
have their desertions not to permit the copy of any
Register be taken, for the reasons that it will
give an individual an advantage over the rest,
of the community and will render the register less a
check in whatt of the public â I am sorry that
it is not in my power to comply with your
request as I have the desporation to oblige
you â and am Sir
your Obedient Servt.
