Sir
If it dose not too much impede your Publick business I may Presume you will Inform me if in the final settlement of General Hazens accounts there is any receipts of money I recd of him Lodged in your office against me In Febr 1778 I received of him a sum of money for the Purpose of purchasing forage and Providing sleighs for the Men Intended Exspidition against canada have not had oppertunity to settle with him as yet my Exstreem Poverty Prevents my personally waiting on you to git my Commutation Depreciation and servis in the Surprise of Ticonderoga in May 1775 all which I have never received this waits on you by Capt Smith who will bring your answer which to send if Possable will gratly Oblege your Unfortnate but most Obedient Humble Servant
