Relating to Gen Washingtons receipt
Registers Office, agillegible 16 June, 1784.
Sir,
Upon stating the Account of His Excellency Genl Washington, for Entry in the Books of this Office I find Major General M'Dougall,is charged with Two hundred eighty pounds Lawful money in Species - 933.30 90 Dollars for Secret Services. This may be [illegible] for you to be acquainted with, as also, that on the settlement of th eGeneral's Account of Expenditure. Capt [illegible]ath Bomman appears accountable for [illegible] hundred continental Dollars paid him by the General,y. 16'June, 1780 on account of travelling expenses. General Knox is charged June 21 1780 with 1200
[illegible] Major General Greene " 2015.
Lieut. Prentice Ho[illegible] " 300.
Continental Dollars.
You are better able to determine than I am [illegible] far these Sums are proper Debits.
