Recd from John Pierce ["Paymaster General" written above name "John Pierce"] asquire by the hands of John White Escort from the Board of war, sixty-seven thousand and six hundred dollars of the New Emition which I promis to deliver to Joseph Clay Esq. or General Green or either of their orders with three duplicates which I promise to deliver at the same time having tow recets of the same Tenor & Date A.D. Q. M.
