Regarding his denied claim for warrant for military bounty land, Rawling recounts the actions of himself, and his officers and men during the siege of Fort Washington during American Revolution. Of the 274 men in his Regiment, 52 officers and soldiers were killed or wounded. Says that Gordon's History of America reports that Rawling's regiment killed or wounded upwards of 600 men. Rawlings was captured and put on a hospital ship; was treated with indignity. Was sent to New York and was eventually paroled. Tried to rejoin the army but could not take rank in the line of the army. Was ordered to Fort Frederick to take charge of prisoners. Rawlings says he resigned commission because he thought he could no longer render service. During siege of York Town, was called upon to procure cattle for army; brought up one hundred head.

Accounts of William Darke while Captain and Colonel. In 1778 he was a prisoner, freed in 1780. After his release he was advanced 5,666-60. The account relative to his time as colonel is in settlement of his account of pay and cash received while a prisoner in 1781. Includes a charge for board for 36 weeks at 2 dollars per week.
Account of the Hospital Department with the United States listing payments and discharges made by members of the department. Reverse of this is a partial letter which seems to state that the accounts must be settled as soon as possible.
Samuel Hull's claims he was in service during the war at a time when his name does not appear on the muster rolls. He only appears as part of Captain Rosekraw's company up to December 1778. If he is telling the truth, he is entitled to further pay, pay gratuity and lands per the Act of Congress 27 March 1792.
