Simmons settled Howe's accounts for medicine purchased for the use and care of the sick at Fort Johnson, Wilmington North Carolina and for money due for apprehending a deserter of said fort. Sum due Howe to be paid by Griffith McRea, Collector.

Enclosed is the draft on General Wilkinson for $650, being the amount of Lieutenant's Glen's draft in his favor which was drawn on his father, Henry Glen. The bill has been remitted to Daniel Hale at Albany in order to have it accepted and paid. It was protested and Stevens has not been able to get it settled.

James Baker, contractor, received a credit to his account for supplying troops of the state of Maryland. Simmons requested Hodgdon update the accounts of the Superintendent of Military Stores.
Hodgdon is informed that the statements of his salary accounts have been examined and the allowances made were in comformity with the appropriations made by Congress. No further sums can be allowed without the interference of that body.
