I have received your Letter of the 21st of March, with its Inclosures to which I shall attend.
The inclosed Letter to Lieutt Triplett will shew you the use you are to make of him and the Services you may require him to perform. He is an Artillery Officer and at present at Fort at Whets[ons] Point. —
Perhaps your Proposition of an Advance of two Months Pay to Seamen will obtain the Complement sooner than the Bounty. You may try the Experiment. —
