[Capt Jonas Springer Union Town Fayette County Pennsylvania] Department of War Accountants Office April 10. 1796 — Sir Your letter of the 5^th Inst' enclosing [text cut off at margin] Muster and Pay role of 31 March 1796 have been received the pay ro[le] has been examined amounting to Two Hundred fifty one Dollars and [text cut off at margin] Twenty Three Cents which you will receive from Henry Miller Esq' Su[pervisor of] the State of Pennsylvania and for which you will sign Duplicate Re[ceipts] to be accountable for the disbursement thereof agreeably to the enclo[sed] Note.
