To HAVE, HOLD, RECEIVE, TAKE, AND ENJOY the said Lands, Monies, and other the Premises hereby granted and assigned unto, and to, and for the only proper Use and Behoof of the said Samuel Maus and his Heirs, Executors, Administrators, and Assigns for ever: AND I, the said Barney Cox DO, for myself, my Heirs, Executors, Administrators, and Assigns, hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Samuel Maus and his Heirs and Assigns, that I, the said Barney Cox my Heirs, Executors, Administrators, or Assigns, shall and will at any time of times hereafter, at the Request, Cost, and Charges of the said Samuel Maus his Heirs or Assigns, make, seal, and execute, or cause to be made, sealed, and executed, all and every such reasonable Act and Acts, Thing and Things, Conveyance and Conveyances, Assurance and Assurances in the Law whatsoever, for the perfect granting, conveying, remitting, releasing, transferring, and assigning, all and singular the Right, Title, Interest, Claim, and Demand, which I, the said Barney Cox have, or which I, the said Barney Cox my Heirs, Executors, and Administrators may at any time hereafter have, of, in, and to the Lands, Pay, Monies, and other the Premises hereby granted and assigned, and of, in, and to every Part and Parcel thereof, unto to the said Samuel Maus and to his Heirs and Assigns, to the only proper Use and Behoof of the said Samuel Maus and his Heirs and Assigns for ever, as by his or their Counsel, learned in the Law, shall be reasonably advised, devised, or required: AND I, the said Barney Cox do hereby appoint the said Samuel Maus my true and lawful Attorney irrevocably, to ask, demand, solicit, and obtain in my Name, or otherwise, but for the sole Use and Behoof of the said Samuel Maus and his Heirs and Assigns for ever, from the United States, and from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania respectively, a Grant or Grants, Patent or Patents, for the Lands aforesaid, in his own name or names; AND ALSO, to demand and receive all such Pay, Sum or Sums of Money, for Arrearages of Clothing, Rations, Rewards, Gratuities, Prize-monies, Commutations, or otherwise howsoever, due to me as aforesaid, and upon Receipt thereof to pass any requisite Receipt or Acknowledgment for the same, hereby ratifying and confirming all and whatsoever my said Attorney may do respecting the same: AND I, the said Barney Cox for myself, my Executors, and Administrators, DO covenant, promise, and grant to and with the said Samuel Maus and his Heirs, Executors, Administrators, and Assigns, that I will not revoke or annul the Power of Attorney herein contained, or do any Act which shall impede the said Samuel Maus in soliciting or obtaining a Grant or Grants, Patent or Patents, for the Land aforesaid, and receiving the Pay, Monies, or other the Premises aforesaid.
