Colonel Blount presented this copy, and wishes to see the original Bill which he [says was] lodged here some time in the Summer of 1786 — I have looked in our [established] amount and can find no proper relation to the matter. I rather suppose that the bill of Exchange alluded to was not left in the office by M^r. Bloodworth — I remember [seeing] the bill when presented — but cannot recollect whether it was left or whether taken away — as the above letter of advice directs that a receipt should be taken for the bill — if the bill was lodged here — the receipt produced will prove the fact — if no receipt is produced — it is pretty Clear the bill was [undecipherable] C.
