Trenton November 10th 1703 Sir I returned from the army on (undecipherable)in the Summer of 1779. On the 17th of March following (1700) I was superseded by the legislation of (undecipherable, as having accepted s Civil Officer. I have received no pay later than for June 1779, from that time until the 17th of March following is still in arrears. The Pay Master of the regiment to which I belonged (Cap undecipherable) was killed in the autumn of 1779, which (undecipherable) my ever msking supplication for the arrears. I shall therefore esteem it. John Pierce Esquire it a very particularly favour, if you will be so obliging as to inform what measures are proper for me to take in order to receive those (undecipherable).
