[3] M^r Richmond October 22^d. 1784 By the enclosed account settled with M^r Dunscomb you will perceive I have given Credit for six months pay which I have not received, and which he informs me I am now to receive in Money, notwithstanding the money I received from General Greene on account, which I have given Credit for besides. By his direction I have also drawn upon you for the amount of my Rations for 1782 and 1783, which being Aid de Camp to General Greene are three [undecipherable: probable reading "rationed"], the price of which you will please to Add to the Account, as I do not know them — I suppose it will be same as contracted for, for the supply of the Southern Army — The Credit given by Abram Skinner is an order which I drew upon him when I was exchanged, and I never knew of his having accepted it; til I applied to M^r Dunscomb Books, and this is the reason why this one Credit only, by A. Skinner is given in my account having given Credit for the other sums paid by him for me while in captivity in my Account with the Auditors of Virginia. I have drawn in favor of General Greene for the amount of these Six months pay, and my Rations, which he will receive and bring to me to Georgia, whither I set out this day. I hope, as so good an Opportunity occurs, you will be so obliging as to endulge me with this payment by the General if consistent with your plans. — I had forget to mention the charges for Expences while upon [underline: extra Service], which you will please also to fill up with the proper Sums, the time, and Service being ascertained by General Greene's Certificate.
