The Secretary of War thinks with myself that whatever store room you may absolutely want must be provided out of the funds of the Factory [undecipherable] provided. there is not room in the fort to accomodate you in your business- If you have absolute need of more room- and you are obliged to erect any additional building - Economy must be ever kept in view - I hope however that you will be able to do without any considerable addition to your present Store - I now enclose you- an Invoice of sundry Goods on your last requi- sition - viz: Blankets - powder - [undecipherable] amoun- ing to - Eight hundred thirty one Dollars & Seven- ty seven Cents - in addition to which you will please to add - Twenty four Dollars & fifteen C^ts for Freight and thirty three Cents for Porterage & the [undecipherable] -- I have directed M^r. Clay at Sa- vannah to purchase two hundred Bushels of [undecipherable] for a winter supply & drawn Bills for the [undecipherable] -- M^r.
