Brants Messengers are arrived and beg you would come back here tomorrow to hear what they have to say to you & the Chiefs of the Other Nations. — They say they are come according to promise at the Council fire last, to meet their brothers and that they wish to see them all before they decide upon any thing — They intreat upon you to come here tomorrow, (Signed) Geo. Brothers The Hurons Speech It is a long time since we received your Speech to attend the treaty We should have been before now with you but the Chippawas have stopped us, and also the great quantity of Rain we have had lately has prevented us from setting off before, but we are now on our legs and will march immediately, so that you will see us before Seven Days.
