[1. 25 - 1798] 1 Regulations respecting Squads of Inspection, appointment of Non-commissioned Officers & Musicians, distribution of Recruits, and equalization of Companies on the Article — 1 Squads I am of opinion that the first Sergeant of a company should have no Squad of his own, for his other duties prevent him from attending to it; therefore the Company might be divided into three Squads and the three remaining Sergeants with three of the corporals to have the charge of them; the fourth remaining Corporal would take charge of any Squad that might happen either by absence or sickness to be without a non Commissioned Officer — It will then rise thus 1.
