I am inclined to think it will be to the advantage of the United States to dispose of the White Oak Logs you mention for the price offered but if a greater price could be procured for them it would be more agreeable. however you are hereby authorized to dispose of them for that price and you will transmit the Amount to this Office.
The following Articles by the report of Captain Bathurst will be necessary to compleat and equip the frigate Building for the Mediterranean Service.
