The whole making 20,677 dollars 30½cts — The receipt of which I have to request your acknowledgement. — [undecipherable] abstracts of agents employed in the Dep^t., as far as respects the above accounts, stating their names, occupation, at what posts employed, commencement & ending of pay, when discontinued, & pay [per] person per month — It would have been much more complete, but owing to my being much engaged since my return — I shall furnish you soon with a complete abstract of all persons employed in the Department — I expect soon to receive my Vouchers from Lofter's Heights, Detroit, Kentucky & the Cantonment at the mouth of the Ohio, which will be transmitted to your office as soon as they are examined & made up at this place — I have the honour to be Sir with great Respect your ob^t.
