[Dolls 32.32] The Sec.^y of War February 4^th 1801, I Certify that there is due to William Small late assistant to the Pay master & Store Keeper at Harpers Ferry in Virginia, the Sum of One hundred & four dollars & 20/100, being for his pay & Rations from 1.^st to 30 April 1799, the day on which his Services [ended] — for Transportation of his tools & machinery from the Armory to his place of residence for traveling expences incurred when sent on the business of the Armory and for Vellum & paper employed in making Plans: admitted agreeably to a letter from James McHenry Sec.^y of War to [said] Small dated in April 99 & of a letter to the Accountant of the War Departm.^t dated 7 April 1800 — M.S.
