The amount of your abstract correctly ascertained shall be examined before this comes to hand — Permit me to call your attention to the Delivery of my letter to you dated 20^th November last, requesting a copy of your Report to the Secretary of war on the Subjects [underline: particularly] described as the accounts of the officers are extremely difficult.
