Received January 2d 1801 of William Simmons accountant a Warrant No. 5389 issued by the Secretary of War for Ten thousand dollars to be transmitted by me to Henry Foxall, Philadelphia on account of his Contract dated 20 Decr 1800, for the Fabrication & delivery of Cannon for the use of the United States, for which sum the said Henry Foxall to be accountable.
