John Steele Esq^r Comptroller of the Treasury                          Accountants Office                                                                                       December 29 1800 Sir In compliance with the [undecipherable: requests] contained in your letter of the 26 Instant I transmit [undecipherable: enclosed] herewith an Abstract of the charges [undecipherable: distributed] in fulfilment of the account of James O'Hara's Contractor for provisions supplied the Troops of the United States under his contracts of the Years 1796 1797 & 1798 & the transactions which have prevented me in [undecipherable: offering] their admission, together with the vouchers in support of them. In this said Abstract will be found pending charges [undecipherable: distributed] in the [undecipherable: priority] of which M^r O'Hara has this day [undecipherable: requested] I have therefore found it unnecessary to trouble you with the measures which relate to them.
