Enclosed is a Receipt for the Military Stores forwarded to the Commanding Officer at Fort Independance — It was not in my power to comply with your order relative to the Sheet Lead, not having any Lead in that state on hand.
My packet of the 9th relative to the Coal, & my letters of the 12. 14. & 17th instt. hope have severelly got safe to hand —
As soon as conveniency will admit I will thank you to make me further remittance of money.
