Sir,
The Secretary of the Treasury has handed to me your letter to him dated the 28th Ulto respecting a Claim for Military Bounty Land by M. Stephen Chapman formerly a Corporal in the Army of the United States.
The application is properly made to this Office and all the Books & Papers having been destroyed, on the 8th Ulto: the Issue of Land Warrants has necessarily ceased. Should it recommence, public notice thereof be given.
