Permit me to [undecipherable] to you of yesterday in reply to yours of the 11th on the subject of Mr O'Hara's acct I have received accounts from him amounting, if his statement is forty seven thousand nine hundred [undecipherable] dollars & [undecipherable]. Sir,
Your account of expenditures between the 5th Augt & 29 Novt last on account of the Fortifications at [undecipherable] on the [undecipherable] Delaware have been examined & the [amount] thereof being six thousand three hundred eighty one dollars & [undecipherable] credited to your order on the books of this office leaving a balance of five thousand two hundred fifty seven dollars & [undecipherable] due from you to the U. S.—
In the amount credited to your order is included the sum of twelve dollars being the amount of Mr Delany's Bill dated 23 Augt 1800 which is not receipted by him (a Copy of which is enclosed) it is therefore requested that you will obtain his rect & forward it to this office— [undecipherable]
