Major M^cRea having directed the repairs to the Barge, Copies of the Accounts for which you enclosed, it is just and proper that the persons making them should be paid for their Services and Supplies. I conceive however that the payment should be made by the Agent of the Quarter Master General as particularly within the province of that Department. You will therefore apply to him for reimbursement of the sum paid by you to M^r [Fling] and direct Mess^rs Kayler to call on him for Settlement of their Account I am &^c
