Edward Wright, — Sir, I now enclose you the Invoice of Merchandize for the Independent & Helen from London: Shipped by William Murdach on account of Georgia Factory, in remittance for the sales of sundry Peltries. Shipped to his [strikethrough: [undecipherable] of the] former, amounting to Four thousand, Eight hundred, Thirty four Dollars & thirty cents. viz. For the Independent $. 2,946. 14. Ditto Helen. . . . 1,888. 16 Total — $4,834. ³⁰/100 which amount is charged to Georgia Factory. — You will observe that the Goods by the Independent are charged at 10½ p[er] Cent. higher advance. than those for the Helen owing to the very high[er] [charges?] on those Goods in Lond- but you must endeavour to regulate this difference in buying on the Factory advance so as to bring them nearly equal in price; I shall send by the first opportunity to Savannah. Blankets. Flannel [undecipherable: Floss'd?] & Blacks silk [undecipherable]. which were imported in the [undecipherable] from London: As I have not any of the stripe duffels on hand. the paint Blankets must there-fore be sent at this time, but by the next Ship-ment. the duffels may make a part of the Article of Blanketing. I hope you have got forward to Savannah all your Peltries. in good Order; so that I expect you will be able to make a handsome remittance early in the Spring; if not in the course of the Winter. Do not neglect your Statements called for in my Letter of the 5.
