You having been the formerly the Contractor in the State of North Carolina, for the Year 1800 many of which are involved in injuries & apparently militates against each other. I have thought it the proper person to submit the apparent contradictions which appear on those which have come to hand. Viz —
a contract formed on the 24 May 1800 with Danl Wheaton for all & every ration in the State of N.C. from the 1st day of Jany 1800 (which of course retrospects near 5 months) to the 9th Columbia following, at 16 ¼ & 8 Cashes; this this being a general Contract were other could be necessary, yet there appears to be four other for part of the same found & States May —
Some Drawings with you in Rations at Campblore, in Jany Feby to March 1800 But Affidavit wish —
Incumberances with Sub Bud's remark that there was no Contractor there; for rations at Salisbury from 1 Jany to 31 May 1800 —
Robert Hall accounts exhibited at this Office appears to have been furnishing, under no Contract of the year 1799 to all the present an N.C. for the first 3 or 4 months of the Year 1800 —
